Welcome to MaRRS Pre School Bee

Goethe said, “Those who know nothing of foreign languages know nothing of their own.” Language development is an important part of child development. It supports the child's ability to communicate, and also to express and understand feelings. Babies have been described as “sponges” for learning a language. Research shows that there is a “critical period” for language acquisition when the human brain is primed to learn. Learning to understand, use and enjoy language is the first step in literacy and the basis for learning to read and write. In their first few years, children develop many of the oral language skills that help them to learn to read when they go to school. And they keep developing language skills throughout childhood and adolescence. The ability to understand more words can spark a love for language, reading, and learning in children.
